A town dedicated to art and culture doubled down in 2002 when the City of Tucson commissioned an art project and Snake Bridge was born.
Though some residents in the area did not see the artist’s vision, the dedication to art moved the project forward and Tucson became home to a bridge that rattles in the wind.
Cars that drive by can see the pattern of Diamondback Snake Bridge – the CIty’s formal name. Located at the bring of South Tucson and Downtown, pedestrians and cyclists who use the bridge are often greeted by the sound of a rattler’s tail through hidden speakers.

A tourist attraction? Maybe not. Fun and Creative? Certainly!
Visit the bridge at South Country Club and Broadway in Tucson.
