South Tucson: A Foodie’s Paradise

The never-ending Tucson debate of who makes the best Mexican food may be out to jury, but the City of South Tucson’s long-standing culture of serving visitors with hospitality cannot be overlooked.

South 4th Ave. is at the heart of the City of South Tucson and contributes to making it an authentic foodie destination. From Mi Nidito, the famed Mexican Restaurant visited by past president Bill Clinton, to Sue’s Fish & Chips serving traditional American Seafood, both serving Tucson for over 60 years.

As if the restaurants didn’t add enough street cred, South Tucson is also home to Alejandro’s Tortilla Factory where homemade, flour tortillas are made fresh daily. The tortillas from Alejandro’s is a staple in Tucson stores but can be found in stores throughout the Southwest.
